​To reserve your date, a $500 retainer is required. A 3% credit card fee will be applied for all charges. This retainer is non-refundable, however, this deposit will be applied toward your final balance. The retainer is strictly non-refundable and will not be returned for any group cancellations for any reason. In the event of cancellation due to a force majeure circumstance [including but not limited to hurricanes, floods, natural disasters, plague, or any other factor outside of our control] our retainer remains non-refundable, however, you will not be charged for your final balance. In the event you are required to postpone your event we will honor your retainer for a future date assuming our availability.
The final balance + a 3% fee along with your group count will be due two weeks prior to your event. We will be unable to make any changes to the group count past this point. We will only have food & beverages available for the number of contracted individuals so it is very important to give us a firm number two weeks prior to your event.
Any cancellations beyond two weeks prior to the event date will be charged in full using the card on file. Any and all changes or updates must be made prior to the two week cut off.
Your Haberdash rental will include exclusive use of the space for 3 hours. Additional hours must be requested ahead of time and will be at an additional cost. Weekday rentals (Monday - Thursday) may choose a 3 hour timeframe of their choice. Weekend daytime rentals (Friday - Sunday) can choose from a 9:00 - 12:00pm timeframe OR 1:00 - 4:00pm timeframe. Evening rentals (past 4pm) can be a 3 hour slot of your choice.
As of May 2021, our large outdoor courtyard will become a shared space. The entire indoor space of Haberdash will remain an exclusive space for your rental including a private kitchen, shower, bathroom, and changing suite.
Included in your space you will find game rooms, a gourmet catered lunch, beverages, a shower, and a changing area. Outside food or drink is not permitted and all catering/beverage packages must be ordered through Haberdash no later than two weeks prior to your event. It is the responsibility of the renter to provide us with any dietary restrictions or allergies no later than two weeks prior to the event.
The renter agrees that Haberdash holds no liability for any damage or injury caused by the use of rental items to renter or any third party. The renter assumes all risk of personal property damage or personal injury. If any accident involving Haberdash rental occurs while it is in the renter’s possession, the renter shall make Haberdash aware by a written statement of details including proper documentation and witness.
Your group will have a Haberdash staff member on-site for the duration of the 3-hour rental to assist with food, beverages, and any other needs. Gratuity is not included in our pricing but is greatly appreciated by our staff. Any gratuities must be left in cash and given directly to staff members. Gratuity will not be accepted by card.
Haberdash does not allow for any items to be left behind after the rental period and we are not responsible for any items that are lost or forgotten. We will do our best to return any forgotten items to you but please check the area carefully prior to your departure. We are happy to pack up any leftover food for you, however, we are unable to store it for you and everything must be taken with you at your departure.
Any damages to the property or loss of Haberdash's property will be the responsibility of the renter. Our staff will do a walkthrough prior to your departure to ensure everything is intact and in working order. In the instance of property damage or loss, Haberdash will directly invoice the renter which is to be paid within 15 days. The replacement value will be determined by the age and condition of the item at the time of rental.
For wedding parties, outside photographers are allowed for getting ready photos. We have a great working relationship with all Charleston photographers and would love to have them in our space. If you do bring in your own photographer, Haberdash has the right to use your images shared by the photographer on our website and social media platforms.
Haberdash staff has the right to refuse beverage service to individuals who become excessively intoxicated. We ask that renters and guests drink responsibly as we are in no way responsible for any injury or accident resulting in inebriation. Haberdash does not sell alcohol and will only pour alcohol that is selected in your booking package.
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside Haberdash. There are two outside areas reserved for smoking purposes. The renter is responsible for putting cigars and cigarettes in the appropriate disposal containers. Any damages caused by cigars or cigarettes to our space will be the responsibility of the renter. Any smoking inside will incur a $300 o-zone and de-smoke fee.

Once you sign this contract, you will be taken to a page to pay your retainer. The retainer must be paid and your information confirmed before your booking is complete.

Along with your retainer being paid, a card number on file is required for all bookings. When you pay your retainer, at checkout, please check the box that allows us to keep your card on file.
This card number will be kept on file in a password-secured location. The credit card will be used for the retainer and any cancellations and/or damages.
Please inform us of any changes in credit card information. The cardholder and bride agree to update Haberdash with any credit card change between the date of signing and the event date.
